Last Will and Testament of of Charles Walker, dated 23 May, 1853

Testament of a Gentleman died 15 Nov 1853

This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Walker of Chester, Firstly I give devise and bequeath all my furniture linen wearing apparel, book debts and any sum or sums ofmoney which may be in my dwelling or about my person and all and every other my estate and effects whatsoever and whereever both real and personal whether in possession, ... unto James Broadbent, Brewer of the City of Chester and to his executors and administrators

Upon ... or soon as conveniently may be after my decease to collect and receive such parts thereof as shall consist of money or securities for money and to sell and dispose of the remainer of my said estate and effects either by public auction or by private contact as to my executor shall seem meet and when and so soon as my whole estate real and personal shall habe veen converted unto money and received

Upon ... to pay to my brother Thomas Walker of Chester the sum of five hundred pounds for his own sole use and benefit and to my brother in law John Turner, Surgeon of London the sum of thirty pounds with legal interest from the date of this Will until the day of payment, being money advanced by him to me at the time, and to my brother in law James Broadbent, Brewer, of Chester who I do hereby constitute nominate and appoint my sole Executor, all and every the remainder for his own sole use and benefit

In witness whereof I the said Charles Walker have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twenty third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.

Signed by the Testator Charles Walker in the presence of us present at the same time who have hereunto inscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and of each other.

Move on the 18th day of April 1860 by the oath of James Broadbent the sole Executor
